featuring our Fiction winner Alethea Black and
Poetry/Rumi Prize winner John Blair is November 10,
2009 The
winners of the 2008 Arts & Letters Prizes
will be brought to the GCSU campus in Milledgeville, Georgia (expenses paid)
to receive their prizes and participate in programs featuring their work. The
winners of the Drama prize and the Creative Nonfiction/Susan Atefat prize will visit the campus on March 13 and 14,

New Name for the Arts
& Letters Poetry Prize The editors
announce the Arts & Letters/Rumi Prize in
Poetry, named for the great Persian poet in honor of the late Susan Atefat-Peckham. Arts & Letters Creative Nonfiction Prize Once again, the
Art & Letters/Susan Atefat prize in Creative
Nonfiction, endowed by Susan’s parents, will be looking for
submissions. This prize has been named after our late friend and colleague
Susan Atefat-Peckham, former poetry editor and
professor in the GCSU MFA program. Our prizes are
made possible by generous gifts to the Arts & Letters Endowment administered by the GCSU
Foundation. |
